Coach Tayfun Korkut reacted calmly to the renewed defeat with Hertha BSC at Borussia Mönchengladbach with regard to his own future.
“I also know that nobody is above the club,” said Korkut after the 0: 2 (0: 1) on Saturday evening.
Hertha’s managing director Fredio Bobic had demanded points from Korkut and the coach in Gladbach before the game. With only 23 points from 26 games, the Berliners have slipped into a direct relegation zone.
“There are a lot of things that came together,” said Korkut, who only took over as coach in November, about the reasons for Hertha’s sporting misery, which has not yet won a game in 2022.

Hertha’s current coach also indicated that the unrest in the club’s environment was problematic: “I’m responsible for the sporting situation. Everything around it is not always as you imagine it to be. But that should never be an alibi.”
Hertha wants to first discuss the current situation on Sunday in peace and then, according to Bobic, announce something. “Everyone can be sure that we will talk about the overall situation,” announced Korkut.
