Social Giant Meta is considering differentiation of Instagram Reels videos into your own separate application, says Reuters news agency The Information referring to the information.
According to the source Adam Mosser reported plans for the company’s staff earlier this week.
The Reels section of the Instagram was launched in 2020 as a Tiktok competitor, and it has remained like that. As Tiktok’s future looks uncertain in the United States, Instagram has a place to hit.
In January, Meta launched a new Edits app designed for editing short some videos. It is quite similar to the very popular Capcut editing application.
So far, it is not known what will happen to the Reels section of Instagram’s parent application if the company would provide a completely new Reels application.
In any case, Instagram users have long been annoyed by the transformation of a video service like Tiktok, which started as a picture application for a long time. Algorithms in the substrate have also been found to favor Reels content at the expense of the photos and provide greater visibility for them.
