The Instagram accounts of two Finnish museums are closed this week without clear justification.

Surprisingly, the Giant Meta has closed the Instagram accounts of the Didrichsen Art Museum and the Finnish Museum of Photography. Their Facebook pages are in operation so far.

Jenny didrichsen In its public Facebook publication, the museum is deeply shocked and disappointed with meta, calling the decision unjustified.

“Our Instagram account was a central platform through which we interacted with art friends, students and visitors around the world-and now it has been removed without explanation,” Didrichsen writes.

Didrichsen has attached a screenshot of Meta’s announcement of the chassis to violate and close the account. He says the museum made several complaints on Meta, but to no avail.

– We have always been committed to high quality content and openness. Removing the Legiti Team Museum account arbitrarily raises serious questions about how cultural institutions are treated on social media, says Didrichsen.

If the publication does not appear, see it here.

The Finnish Museum of Photography shared the publication of Didrichsen on their own Facebook and said Meta also closed their Instagram account earlier this week.

– Has this happened to other museums? It asks.

The Instagram accounts of both the Didrichsen Art Museum and the Finnish Museum of Photography are currently confronted with a stupid announcement:
