The German duel in the Champions League between Bavaria and Leverkusen is eagerly awaited. Vincent Kompany can take the encounter in a relaxed manner.
Vincent Kompany apparently remains coach of FC Bayern when the club leaves the Champions League at an early stage. The “Sport Bild” reports. The German duel against Bayer Leverkusen will be pending next Wednesday and the club management of the German record champion gave Kompany a job guarantee. The decision should relieve the coach and team. For a safe future in Munich, the 38-year-old Belgian is enough to win the German championship.
Against the team of coach Xabi Alonso, whom Bayern had in mind as possible successors from the former coach Thomas Tuchel, the record champion remained without a win this season: In the Bundesliga, both duels ended with a draw (1: 1 and 0: 0), In the DFB Cup there was a 0-1 defeat that led to the end. Nevertheless, the club tour of Kompany’s work is convinced.
After 23 match days, FC Bayern leads the Bundesliga table with eight points ahead of Leverkusen. In the Champions League, the Munich endorses the final in their own stadium – the final will take place on May 31st in the Allianz Arena.
