The German laundry provider Schiesser GmbH has found a new boss.
On Tuesday, the Israeli textile group announced Delta Galil Industries Ltd. belonging to Sonja Balodis to the CEO. The experienced clothing expert will take over her new post on March 3, according to a message.
At Schiesser, Balodis succeeds Andreas Lindemann, who announced his farewell in January. Lindemann, who has headed the company since summer 2018, will “remain in office for the transition month to ensure a smooth change of management,” said Schiesser.
Balodis recently led the comma brand belonging to the S.Oliver Group
Isaac Dabah, the CEO of the parent company Delta Galil, justified the personnel decision: “With her many years of experience in the global fashion and clothing industry and its proven expertise in brand strategy, we are convinced that Sonja Balodis will successfully lead the Schiesser brand into the future”, he explained in a statement.
According to her new employer, the designated Schiesser boss “has more than 30 years of extensive experience in leading positions in fashion and clothing companies”. Balodis spent large parts of her career at the Rottendorf clothing group S.Oliver Group. There she last led the comma brand until the end of 2024. Previously, she had held the post of Chief Product Officer from the group of companies. In the meantime, she had also been managing director for marketing, product and procurement at Marc Cain from 2021 to early 2022.
