With these words Giovanna Iannantuoni, rector of the University of Milan-bicoccapresented the new Bicocca Foundation, an important piece of a path of growth and innovation of the Milanese university Which is increasingly arising like a pole of excellence.
“The creation of the Bicocca Foundation represents a strategic step for our university,” said the rector, “introducing a series of operational, management and strategic advantages that integrate and enhance the activities already carried out. The Foundation enhances and amplifies the impact of the university on the territory and in the national and international academic scene. Milan-Bicocca places itself at the forefront in the creation of an academic-innovative ecosystemable to respond to the challenges of the future with more effective and competitive tools ».
The tasks of the Foundation will be mainly in three areas: 1 Higher formation, namely the creation and management of the Master, the Summer and Winter School, with the aim of increasing the 10 percent offer from next academic year. 2 Promotion of research and patentsto increase collaboration with companies. 3 Organization of events, also in order to attract the sponsors.
The Bicocca Pavilion, the Bicocca Foundation Innovation Hub, will be inaugurated on April 14.
The Bicocca Foundation will have its own Innovation Hub, a brand new Pavilliondesigned by Piuarch, a multifunctional space that will put university and businesses in contact, which will be inaugurated on April 14.
The presentation also attended the President of the Foundation and Vicar Prores of the University Marco Orlandithe Undersecretary of State to the Presidency of the Council Alessandro Morelli, the Councilor for Economic Development of the Lombardy Region Guido Guidesi and the Councilor for Economic and Political Development of the Labor of the Municipality of Milan Alessia Cappello.
