Around the Schücoarena, the anticipation for the show of strength with Werder is almost omnipresent these days. Arminia Bielefeld stood in the cup semi-final three times this millennium, nobody would have anything against a fourth. Since 2019, only the 1st FC Saarbrücken, as a third division club, managed to penetrate as far as the Mitch Kniat team. Hannover, Union Berlin and SC Freiburg had already had to cut the sails in the Schücoarena, and in Bremen you are warned accordingly. “We know about the danger of the task, it is always difficult on the Alm,” Werder’s captain Marco Friedl had emphasized after the draw in mid -December. Nevertheless, Werder wants to do justice to his favorite role, as coach Ole Werner underlined.
“We had strong opponents in the first three rounds and Bremen will not make it easier for us as a Bundesliga club. There is a large individual class there, especially Werder also plays forward quickly. But we showed that you can also count on us in the first rounds. Also, not many believed in us as third division teams. This is also something this time that makes me good and confident in advance, ”Wörl looks at the upcoming task in an interview with TM. Born in Munich and ex-Löwe is a face of the successful Bielefeld cup round. Against his regular club 96, he initiated the victory with his assist to 1-0 through André Becker, which was awarded to Mannheim in winter, in the 2-0 against Union, he first scored with a dream goal and then put on Becker again. Against Freiburg he assisted Christopher Lannert for the lead.
Arminia Bielefeld in the DFB Cup: “The stadium carried us”
When asked about his statistics and when asked why the trophy seems to be so good, says Wörl: “I am still relatively young and therefore of course these are the biggest games that I personally had in my career so far. I am then completely motivated to the top and always try to give everything for the club, the team and progress. I love evening games, I love it when the stadium is sold out. I really enjoy every single cup game here and I hope that I can build on Tuesday and build on the performance of the first rounds. ”

Wörl, who describes the mood on the Alm as “outstanding”, emphasizes not only the team, but again to the Arminia supporters against Werder. “I think you saw that in all three home games. It was an incredible mood from the first to the last minute and you can say that the stadium definitely wore us. Our fans always play a very important role and everyone is therefore really looking forward to the game on Tuesday. It will be a great event for everyone, we really feel like it! “

Arminia Bielefeld wants to move into the DFB Cup semi-final with the fans in the back.
Wörl developed the status of the top performer and leaders in Bielefeld in Bielefeld. In the summer of 2023, the youngster at the age of 18 from the 1860 Munich training club, where he had the reputation of the young juwel early on, was changed to Hanover and was awarded directly to the DSC. Already in his first season he came up with 30 games and 24 start -up operations, and since then there have been 14 scorers in 65 competitive games. Last summer, the rental deal with the red was extended by another year to the end of the season 2025. “After the first year, I saw that I develop really well here, also thanks to the coaching team around Mitch Kniat. And I think a young player has to play as much as possible. I just really liked it in Bielefeld and that was taken together with the decisive factors for the decision. On this basis, together with Hanover and Arminia, we decided that it is the best for me when I stay for another year to constantly develop, ”explains Wörl.

Marius Wörl has become a leading player at Arminia Bielefeld.
At Maschsee, Wörl’s contract runs until 2026. According to reports, Bielefeld has a purchase option, which is according to different media reports in the range of one million euros. According to rumors, other clubs are said to have had an eye on the 20-year-old, including clubs beyond the borders of Germany. The professional is currently not worried about his future from summer. “Rather, I’m in the here and now. First of all, I want to play a good season with Arminia and now it is of course the case that I go back to Hanover. But I am not much dealing with it because now there are still a lot of games. And I want to successfully deny it. ” With 96 there is a regular exchange, “you also look at many of my games and give me feedback.”
Hannover 96: Man perceives Wörl development “extremely positive”
Bielefeld’s managing director Michael Mutzel recently attested Wörl on and off the square “An extreme development” and emphasized to the “New Westphalian” that he would like to keep it beyond the summer: ” he plays. (…) He has said several times that he feels very comfortable with us in Bielefeld. We would like to keep it permanently and try everything to make this possible. However, he is still playing 96 players and it is only partially in our hands. ” With a view to the media -speculated amount of the rumored purchase option, he also made it clear: “I will not disclose the content of the contract. Just so much: I categorically exclude that we as a third division will pay for such a transfer fee. “
Wörl’s development leap and his qualities have not been unnoticed by Lower Saxony, as Hanover’s sports director Marcus Mann confirms on request to TM: “We were taking development as extremely positive. Last year it was seen that the season in the 3rd division did very well. This year he has become an absolute regular at the Arminia. Since this season he has been used much more aggressively, which suits him well because he has a good feeling for the room. In the cup he made particularly aware of himself. His statistics are of course impressive. He is instrumental in the fact that Bielefeld can now play the quarter -finals. We are very happy about his development and of course we are also happy to welcome him again in Hanover next season. ”

Hanover’s sports director Marcus Mann is planning now with Wörl.
Mann confirms that the club Wörl’s games regularly follow: “Our scouting department is always on site at the Arminia games. I was only eating something with Marius a few days ago and I am always well informed about how he is doing and what the current status is with him. ” In the midfield of the red, the competition in the Wörl position is not low, and eleven actors from the Breitenreiter squad can theoretically be used in the center. Mann is convinced that Wörl could still assert himself on a leash with the experience gained in Arminia: “When we signed Marius, he had already played a few games in the 3. League at 1860 Munich, but was so young, but was so young that he should have played for the U19. That’s why it was extremely important for him to get a lot of playing time. At the end of the season he will be with over 80 third division games. We absolutely trust him to take the next step. That is why we will definitely plan it at 96 for the coming season. ”
Both Hannover 96 and Arminia Bielefeld are a sporting forecast in which league both clubs will appear next to the next season, in February 2025. After the interim phase, the DSC recently returned with two wins in a row in the promotion struggle of the 3rd division. Second division Hanover had to accept a set up in this one class higher due to six draws from the last seven games. The entry of the two teams at the end of the season should also be of not inconsiderable importance for Wörl’s future decision.
At the age of 20 and two strong third division season in the back, Wörl is faced with the next level. When asked whether another year 3rd league would be conceivable for him, he says: “Personally, I always want to achieve the maximum and of course also play as high as possible. Now it is the case that I still play in the third division this year and what happens in summer cannot be said – there are so many scenarios. Therefore, I don’t want to take a big look into the future at the moment. In football you can never say exactly what happens the next day. “
