Discussions are underway with all kinds of partners to share sites. VDAB would have one so-called ‘master site’ per province. For our province it would be in Roeselare. There are now rumors that VDAB offices such as the one in Ostend would close. But no decision has been made about that yet.
“We are working towards one master campus per province, such as that of Roeselare,” says Demir. “In that context, we already make the VDAB buildings available to work and training centers such as CVOs, Syntra, or sector partners.” Now the VDAB buildings are too often unused, says the minister. “If you ask me, those sites should be shared: everything is always closed after five o’clock, so more effort should be made on that.”
