“I don’t have that much patience,” Kees Smit honestly admits in the catacombs of the AZ stadium. The 19-year-old Heilooër thinks he should play and that is not always the case. In the Eredivisie he came in five times and three times he was the basis. “I understand that other players in my positions are also doing well. I do believe it will work.”
Jan Sierksma
Jan Sierksma was the trainer who let Smit come in. Normally assistant from Maarten Martens, but the Belgian trainer had to serve a suspension and so Sierksma was the ultimate responsible for Fortuna Sittard. “It has certainly been special, but again not very different.”
