The selection of another player forces national coach Christian Wück to act. The gap in the squad is now filling an 18-year-old from FC Bayern.
The German national women’s team has to do without another player in the upcoming Nations League games. Midfielder Marie Müller from Portland Thorns FC fails, as the DFB announced on Thursday. National coach Christian Wück reacted on Friday with a post -nomination: Alara Şehitler from FC Bayern moves into the contingent.
The 18-year-old travels from the German U23 selection to the A national team. On Thursday, she had twice met in the 3-2 win of the junior team against England. She made her debut for the A team in November in the 6-0 victory against Switzerland.
Before the failure of Marie Müller, Wück had to do without the two central defenders Sara Doorsoun and Kathrin Hendrich. Both are missing due to muscular injuries.
This Friday (8:45 p.m. in the ticker in T-Online), the DFB team will meet the Netherlands in Breda. Four days later (Tuesday, 6.15 p.m.) the duel with Austria is coming up in Nuremberg.
