With the mysterious words “Not much longer…” and “Something is in the bush”, the Beatsteaks have kept their fans on Instagram and Facebook on their toes in recent weeks. Now it’s out what the Berlin punk rock band wanted to tease with it.

In the summer, the Beatsteaks will not only play the festival concerts at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park that were announced a long time ago, but have also added ten more stops to the tour schedule to their two already sold-out dates in Berlin’s Wuhlheide. They posted an overview on Instagram.

The kick-off will take place in Potsdam in May, and the last concert of the summer will be played in Paderborn in July.

The musicians also comment on the current war situation in Ukraine in the course of the tour announcement: “We are aware that in the current situation in our world, the priorities are certainly not on music or concerts. However, these are one of the best ways for us to make a difference, albeit indirectly.” In addition to this statement, they link to the Instagram account of Mission Lifeline, which is currently leading a fundraiser for the people of Ukraine.

Advance ticket sales begin on Friday (March 11), tickets will be sold via the official Beatsteaks merchandise website to be available.

Last year, the Beatsteaks released their 2002 limited edition “DIE WOHNZIMMER EP” on vinyl for the first time. The band’s new music was last heard in the form of their cover EP “IN THE PRESENCE OF” in 2020. They used their music video for “After Hours”, originally by The Velvet Underground, to draw attention to the predicament of the cultural scene caused by the pandemic do.
