In the name of Osuuspankki, scams have been sent via SMS to say that the card is locked for safety reasons. The scam utilizes a genuine announcement of OP’s recent reporting of locking Finnish customers’ cards due to suspicions of abuse.
The new scam message is directed to call the prepaid number for more information. The message is written by OP’s customer service number, but it is in front of it a small letter C.
The genuine security message sent by OP is recognized by the fact that the sender reads “OP” and the possible phone number mentioned in the message can also be found on the bank’s website.
