Franziska Preuss won her fourth medal at the Biathlon World Championships in Lenzerheide. In the single mixed, the overall World Cup with her team -mate Justus Strelow secured bronze (+8.3 seconds) after four relay.

Gold went to Julia Simon and Quentin Fillon Maillet from France (7 aftermath), silver to Johannes Thingnes Bö and Ragnhild Femsteinevik from Norway (15/+5.7). “We can be very satisfied today,” said Preuss beaming.

The 30-year-old had already won gold in the first World Cup week, silver in the sprint and bronze with the mixed relay. For the German Ski Association (DSV) it was the second World Cup medal in the single mixed.

“The Norwegian starter has tackled it mentally ill,” said Preuss in the “ARD”, Strelow added to the decisive shooting: “It just hurt, but I did it quite well with a leader.” It was only at the last few meters that record world champion Johannes Thingnes Bö had passed the silver rank past him.

After the day of rest, the final medal decisions are made in Switzerland at the weekend.

On Saturday the seasons of women (12:05 p.m.) and men (3:05 p.m.) are coming up, on Sunday the title fights end with the mass starts of the biathletes (1:45 p.m.) and biathletes (4:05 p.m./everything ARD and Eurosport).
