BBB leader Caroline van der Plas had to submit a request for eleven times, but there will be a debate in the plenary room of the Lower House about the rise of the Wolf in the Netherlands. So far, there was always no support from the PVV, so there was no majority who wanted to put the subject on the agenda. But also the largest party in the room is now ‘OM’.
The fact that PVV player Dion Graus is now prepared for a debate does not mean that he too is now convinced of the danger that the wolf is, according to BBB and other parties, for people and farm animals. He said that a lot of sheep are slaughtered ritual every year, “ritual torture” he called that himself. “And I never hear anyone about that.”
Animal lover Graus did not tack out “because I bend for the weekly circus of Mrs. Van der Plas”. But he is done with the “e-mail bombing” that his group gets. The PVV, he claimed, submitted plans years ago “to keep things in control”. He wants to seize the debate about the wolf to bring it to the attention. “People are ignorant.” Graus did not say which proposals he meant.
