Loose sidewalk tiles, flickering lampposts and rusted bicycles on the street ensure an unpleasant living environment. You can report this kind of nuisance to the municipality, after which they provide a solution. For a long time you could do this through the MijnGemeente app, but recently Zoetermeer has been working with a new app.

At the end of January, the municipality of Zoetermeer started with the BuitenBeter app. This means that you can no longer use the MijnGemeente app as a Zoetermeerder. According to the municipality, the new app works better than the previous version.
This is how you make a notification
In the BuitenBeter app you do, for example, reports about abandoned vehicles, loose glass or bulky waste on the street and non-working underground containers. The app works very handy and fast. In the entry field you indicate what you want to report about. You then choose the correct category of your complaint, and read information about how the municipality deals with this subject. The app asks if you want to add an image and what the location is. Send your notification and wait for a response from the municipality.
When submitting a report in the BuitenBeter app, you may not submit photos with people or personal information due to privacy reasons.
Even more ways
Do you want to make a report for nuisance in Zoetermeer? Then you can use the new app, but there are four more ways how to pass on your report to the municipality. Read here which they are.
