After the passage in the Baltic Sea, the frigate will participate in Joint Viking, a large -scale multinational military exercise in the far north, on the border with Russia.
The purpose of the exercise will be to have NATO members train together, to refine their operational skills and to strengthen the collective deterrence in the region.
