Gonzalo Castro laces the soccer shoes again two and a half years after his career end-in the district league B. The 37-year-old, who last contracted Arminia Bielefeld until summer 2022, is to help the Leverkusen club Roland Bürrig to promotion to the district league A.
In his career, Castro played 421 Bundesliga games for Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Borussia Dortmund, VfB Stuttgart and Bielefeld. After his career end, he laced his shoes in the Kleinfeldliga Baller League, but was no longer active in a club – until now.
