Niek van Dijk is the surgeon for top football players: ‘That was very special for Ronaldo’

The most famous only in the history of Dutch football is that of Marco van Basten. The ankle who had so much damage that one of the best strikers that the world has known at the age of 28 had to put an end to his career. Professor and orthopedic surgeon Niek van Dijk (73) operated the ankle several times and did another intervention at the joint at Van Basten last week. De Telegraaf visited Van Dijk in Italy.
