A former player of the National Football Team and the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) former member of the Board of Directors Fethi Heper died at the age of 81.

“One of the valuable names of Turkish football, former player of our National Team and former member of the Turkish Football Federation Board of Directors Fethi Heper has passed away with a deep sorrow.

Born in Eskişehir on February 3, 1944, Fethi Heper started football in his hometown. Fethi Heper, who played for Eskişehir Youth Club in 1960, took part in the founding squad of Eskişehirspor, which he will make a name for himself five years later. Eskişehirspor’la identified with “Fethi-Nihat-Ender Send the nets” slogan Fethi Heper heper, all the professional career spent his beloved Eskişehirspor’da.

Fethi Heper, who wears the national jersey 4 times, including three of them, scored 121 goals in 9 seasons with Eskişehirspor jersey. Fethi Heper, who had an important share in the success of ES-ES in the 1970s, became the Turkish League scorer twice in the 1969-70 and 1971-72 seasons.

Fethi Heper, who continued his academic career during his football, completed his undergraduate education at Eskişehir Academy of Economics and Commercial Sciences in 1967. He completed his doctorate in 1978 and received the title of Professor in 1981 and a professor in 1988.

Fethi Heper, who also served as a manager of Eskişehirspor and Turkish football after saying goodbye to football, also served in the Board of Directors of Eskişehirspor. Fethi Heper, who was the Board of Directors of the Turkish Football Federation during the reign of Abdullah Kiğılı for the first time in 1997, worked at TFF during the reigns of Haluk Ulusoy and Yıldırım Demirören. Heper took his place as a member of the Board of Directors responsible for the National Teams during the Demirören period.
