The obstacle is ourselves

Many times, the greatest obstacle is ourselves. We get carried away by routine, inertia and comfort of “I will do it tomorrow.” It is essential to remember that only when we take the reins of our lives with determination, we really begin to move towards what we are looking for.

Planning is not magic

Planning is not magic. It is a conscious action, a process to make things happen. If we do not deal with our goals and what moves us, little by little we begin to lose confidence in ourselves. That trust is built day by day, with the ability to make decisions, direct our energy towards what we want and be consistent in our way.

A new opportunity

This start of the year gives us a new opportunity to plan, promote our potential and remember that we are the architects of our own life. If you got here, I want to encourage you to take a moment to reflect on what you really want to achieve this year.

The habit of planning

I could ensure that most of us have grown up without having the habit of planning, following learned behaviors and with an empty look at our interior, achieving results, but without discovering how much more we are capable. Plan from the simple to the complex, from what we are going to ingest tomorrow to how and where we want to see ourselves in the next 5 years.

An infallible work method

I have developed a working method with my clients to boost and achieve results. This method has 3 infallible steps:

  1. Expand the look

    • Ask yourself: What am I doing today, approaches me or moves me away from what I want to achieve?
    • Reviewing the actions of the present will give you a clear perspective of what you need to modify or incorporate to build a change.

  2. Recognize me

    • Ask yourself: Who am I? With the eyes of whom I observe myself?
    • Discover your potential, your passion and what inspires you. Drive what you can do more easily and work deeply in your belief system, since they will determine your expansion or put a roof to your impulse.

  3. Create my path

    • Ask yourself: What is the smallest step that I dare to give?
    • Information gives you power and trust. From there, start drawing the path you are going to travel to realize what you are looking for. Be flexible and contemplate possibilities in the face of changes that may arise in time, without losing sight of what moves you and wants for your life.

Planning resources

To effectively specify my planning, I use manual and visual resources that allow me to diagram my actions and supervise my process, such as:

  • Daily agenda
  • Monthly planner
  • Annual Planner
  • Kanban

I encourage you to plan and impulse your potential, and give you a phrase that I like Zig Ziglar: “It is not necessary to be big to start, you have to start to be big.”
