Cabinet makes firm agreements with governments and housing associations about new construction

Minister Hugo de Jonge (Public Housing and Spatial Planning) wants to make firm agreements with provinces, municipalities and housing associations about the construction of almost 900,000 new houses in the period up to 2030. This is stated in the house plans of the new Housing and Construction Agenda. About 2 billion euros will be made available for this. With the plans, the minister wants to reduce the housing shortage in the Netherlands.
