Basketball world champion Dennis Schröder celebrated his debut in the new sporting home at the end of an extremely turbulent week. The native of Braunschweig first ran for the Detroit Pistons in the North American professional league NBA on Sunday and celebrated a 112:10 success against the Charlotte Hornets.

Detroit is on a direct play-off place with 27:26 victories. As expected, Schröder was not in the starting line -up, but came from the bank as a relief for Cade Cunningham, Detroits Point Guard. The DBB captain played inconspicuously, came to five points in 15 minutes – but including an important threesome to 97:90.

Pistons are Schröder’s ninth NBA club

Schröder, who had started the season at the Brooklyn Nets, was traded by the Golden State Warriors to Utah Jazz on the last day of the alternating period, but the team from Salt Lake City had immediately passed on to Detroit. Detroit is after Atlanta, Oklahoma Coty, the Los Angeles Lakers, Boston, Houston, Toronto and Brookly, the ninth team for which Schröder has now played.

He is still a long way from the NBA record: ISH Smith ran for 13 different teams from 2010 to the end of 2024.
