According to Lauri Lepistö, the financial situation of the Ski Association should not influence the profession of athletes.

The World Skiing World Championships will begin at the end of February, but it is not SM medalist Lauri Lepistö warm.

Lepistö has skied three World Cup races this season. The places have been 34, 47 and 50. Since then, there have been no tickets to the new World Cup, that is, to give the World Cup screens.

– It is not easy to give screens. Imatra’s SM skiing was the only time I could have gave the screens. It didn’t go to the button, Lepistö says.

Lepistö was fifth in the traditional dozens of Imatra and in the combined race. Getting a World Cup place is further complicated by the skiing union’s bustle economic situation.

Not full teams have been sent to all World Cups.

“The top six are not selected for each trip,” says Lepistö.

“It feels bad to look at the results list and think that there might have been my place,” he says.
