For weeks, the music of Frozen has been on repeat for weeks. “I had to work very hard for the role,” says the 8-year-old with a big smile on her face. For months she has rehearsed the songs and lyrics without grumbling. She is therefore overjoyed that she can play the role of little Anna.

No experience, but the role

That she got the role was a big surprise. Mother Linda says that Noa is the one who loves horse riding and gymnastics and, unlike her brother and sister, is not in the Dutch children’s theater. “Nothing at all, she goes to the largest production in the country,” said a proud mother.

The role turns family life upside down. “I had to recover from the news for half a week,” Linda explains. “How are we going to organize this? We never expected it. The chance was so small.” Yet with love she brings her daughter to Scheveningen every time. “It’s so special. A bit unreal.”

The news also had to land at Noa. “I fell on the floor and then my dog got on me with joy. I also got a big hug from my brother and sister.” Soon the 8-year-old hangs on the phone to call all her girlfriends and relatives. “I was going to say they had to save for tickets.”

Improvise if something goes wrong

Noa rehearses often and a lot. Linda: “They chose her because she works so hard with feedback.” With a certain song she is also all alone on stage and sometimes something goes wrong. “The channel dropped out during a scene,” says Noa. “That’s why I just had it. During my quick-moving it had to be solved.” With the quick-moving, Noa has exactly 8 seconds to put on a different suit and other shoes. Another time Noa’s opponent lost her text. “Then I said my text and she knew it again.”

The little star sometimes gets a lot of star allures through the big stage: “I want to do that many people for me what I ask,” emphasizes 8-year-old grinning. “She is a star of the show in the evening, but just had to go back to school in the morning,” says her mother, who does keep Noa with both feet on the floor.
