As the company announced on Friday, the company management and the overall works council of Görtz Retail GmbH, on February 6 – with the consent of the preliminary insolvency administrator – have reached an agreement on an equalization of interests for the irrevocable exemption. As a result, 93 exemptions were issued.
The measure affects employees in particular: inside who have been working at the final locations so far. These can now apply for unemployment benefit I at the responsible employment agency as part of the so -called still granting. The dismissals follow only a few days after the decision of the Federal Employment Agency to reject the application for pre -financing of bankruptcy money for the approximately 400 employees.
For the remaining 300 employees: The continued employment remains under the previous contractual conditions for the time being, the statement says. However, no exemptions were issued for the insolvent group companies Görtz Holding GmbH and Atlant Logistik GmbH. Here the company continues to wait for a decision by the Federal Employment Agency on the requested pre -financing of bankruptcy money.
While the future branch structure is being examined, the remaining Görtz branches will remain open to customers nationwide.
