Talents flee, consultants warn, experts doubt: is FC Bayern a bad club for young players?
FC Bayern is preparing for the future – and has signed a few coveted talents, most recently goalkeeper Jonas Urbig and midfielder Tom Bischof. The club has big plans for them. They should optimally prevail and shape FC Bayern in the long term. But while new talents come, others are already fleeing from Munich.
Mathys Tel wanted to become Bavaria’s stampers, but after two years without a regular place, he decided to move to Tottenham Hotspur. Tarek Buchmann dreamed of a future as a defense chief, but his development stops. Other home -grown plants such as Frans Krätzig, Adam Aznou, Arjon Ibrahimovic or Paul Wanner had to be awarded to get playing time at all. Your prospects for a great future at Bavaria? Rather mau.
The problem is not new. In the past, the German record champion already won high -talented players such as Ryan Grevenberch, Renato Sanches, Michael Cuisance or Sinan Kurt – but almost everyone failed at Bavaria. Bryan Zaragoza only came in January 2024, but was awarded immediately and will probably never return. Alexander Nübel still fights for a perspective after several borrowings.
This also has to do with the commitment of Urbig, which there were directly discussions. The U21 national goalkeeper moved from Cologne to Bavaria, although his chances of operating time are minimal. Ex-BVB keeper Roman Weidenfeller sharply criticized the transfer: “As a goalkeeper, I can’t understand it. As a young player, you need game practice. In my view, Urbig confused.” Does he have that?
Even star advisor Volker Struth was critical of his client Bishop with the decision for Bavaria: “In the evening before signature And whether he believes that this is the right step for him as an athlete. “
But is the problem with the players – or at Bayern? The fact is: the claim in Munich is enormous, every transfer must be right. Young talents often do not get the necessary season because the Munich coaches rely on experience. At the same time, there is obviously a clear concept for long -term development – for external newcomers as well as self -plants. This leads to the question:
Is FC Bayern a bad club for top talents?
