Löffler has been cooperating with the Düsseldorf technology company Retraced for three years. The goal is the transparent representation of your own supply chains. After the first attempts with individual products in the winter of 2022, the first collection group with 81 products was fully disclosed from summer 2024. Now the entire cross -country collection was followed for winter 2024/25.
So far, the manufacturing path of over 180 spoon articles can be traced back using retracted. For this purpose, the sporting goods provider, who also produces substances for their own collection at the location in Austria, was able to win 60 suppliers and production partners for the use of the platform and thus integrate them into retraced. “We are convinced that transparency is a central driver for sustainability,” says Otto Leodolter, Managing Director of Löffler. “We have never given up our production and procure everything from the yarn to the cake mark to the zipper. This ensures high standards for the environment and humans, but also gives us a profound understanding of the supply chain that goes beyond the industry standard.”
Transparent supply chain and Oeko-Tex certification “Made in Green”
In fact, Löffler wants to show that it is also possible for medium -sized companies such as Löffler to get involved in transparency and sustainability in the supply chain. Löffler employs 260 people: Inside – in addition to Austria also in his own work in Bulgaria – and produces around 1.1 million clothing parts annually and has recently generated sales of 27 million euros. In addition to Retraced, Löffler also works with the Oeko-Tex certification “Made in Green”, which also includes the transparent display of the supply chain using QR code. In order to be able to mark a product with this certificate, all components used must be certified according to Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex and all suppliers according to Oeko-Tex Step. In the meantime, 19 Löffler products have the Oeko-Tex “Made in Green” label.
“Of course, sustainable supply chain management and the disclosure of the supply chain means additional effort and higher costs. But especially with all the different approaches to the complex and multifaceted topic of sustainability, which is difficult for consumers: we are difficult to understand on the inside, we see the next logical step for our industry, ”summarizes Leodolter.
