Legal duty of PostNL
PostNL has the legal duty to ensure that in villages and towns with more than 5000 inhabitants a maximum of one kilometer of each house has a letterbox. Outside, the nearest letterbox may never be further away than 2.5 kilometers. The mailboxes also remain in the vicinity of healthcare institutions and hospitals, the company promises. Because we all send and receive more packages, the number of package machines is going up.
