From 15 February, the National Institute for Sickness and Invalidity Insurance (RIZIV) GPs will no longer reimburse telephone consultations. That has decided the National Committee for Doctors-Ziekenfonds or Medicomut. The measure runs in the first instance until the end of June. In the meantime, a working group must work out a clearer framework for teleconsultations and record measures to prevent abuse. ‘The importance of Limburg’ reports this.
