Valtteri Bottas returns to Mercedes as a test driver – but with a clear announcement by team boss Toto Wolff. A special trademark of the Finn should be a thing of the past in the future.
It is no surprise that Valtteri Bottas returns to Mercedes. Already in December it became known that the Finn will be test drivers and thus succeed Mick Schumacher. But before he had a real start, his return was a clear requirement of team boss Toto Wolff.
Because: In recent years, Bottas has caused a stir with funny nude photos on social media. In 2024 he even released his own nude calendar-for a good cause. The income from “Bottass 2024” went to the “Movember” foundation, which is committed to the prostate cancer provision, among other things.
But now it is over. In conversation with “Racingnews365”, Wolff emphasized that such a project does not fit into the environment of Mercedes: “We are Mercedes, so the nude calendar may no longer be announced.”
Bottas does not have to do without his personal note. Wolff made it clear that the Finn could be able to keep his striking hairstyle: “If he wants to keep the ugly Vokuhila, he should do that,” said the Mercedes team boss with a smile.
