For the 75-year-old Peter Overbosch from Schagen there were again a number of games in the first class on the program last Friday. “They are the first games of the competition so there is a bit of tension,” said Overbosch.

Although the Noord-Hollander started with table tennis in 1964, the tension is quite in it during the match against TTV Olympia from Enkhuizen. His teammates from TTV Noordkop from Den Helder are full of praise over the age table tennis player. “That old Knar can secretly something,” says Ingmar Vink.

This season, 19-year-old Luuk van Vliet also plays in the first men’s team of the Noordkop. “He still beats me off the table. Everyone has a lot of admiration for Peter that he still reaches this level at that age. You can only dream of that,” says Van Vliet.

NH Sport was present in Den Helder on Friday evening and made the above report.
