Can Joelle Steur finally win her professional career’s first tournament win? The chances are definitely good for the 20-year-old German tennis talent. Steur is in the final of the W15 tournament in Antalya on Sunday. Meanwhile, a German veteran is chasing his next title.

Thanks to a surprising 6-0-6: 2-gala in German duel with the Mina Hodzic (number 439 of the world rankings) set to number two, DTB talent Joelle Steur (number 699 of the world rankings) on Saturday has the final of the W15 tournament in Antalya reached.

Steur only had to accept a break against the favorite from her own camp before she could transform her second match ball after only 1:15 hours. On the way to the semi -finals, Steur had already celebrated three convincing victories without loss of sets.

Steur can continue to hope to finally celebrate her first tournament success as a professional player. The German failed several times in the semi -finals, and in July 2024 Steur also lost the only final that she could reach in Casablanca (W15).

Gerch before double strike in Zahra

On the way to the very big coup, Steur has to conquer the Italian Martina Colmegna (number 591 of the world rankings) on Sunday. In the previous tournament, Colmegna left a weaker impression as a Steur.

Meanwhile, Lucas Gerch hopes for another success on the tour (number 482 of the world rankings). The 30-year-old benefited on Saturday in the semi-finals of Zahra (M15/Kuwait) from the task of Belgian Tibo Colson (number 577 of the world rankings).

For the title, the Gerch set in position dueled on Sunday with top favorite Oliver Crawford (number 400 of the world rankings) from Great Britain.

Gerch was able to secure the double title in Zahra on Saturday alongside Kai Wehmelt. The Frenchman Maxence Beaugé and Joris Moret defeated the DTB duo.
