In 2015, the Netherlands consciously took risks in the war in Iraq with major consequences: a Dutch bombing of the city of Hawija made at least 85 civilian deaths.

What went wrong that night was investigated by a committee led by Winnie Sorgdrager. She came with hard conclusions this week.
