Klaas Vantornout is now working as a bicycle repairman in a business in Pittem. He also gives evening lessons a bicycle repairer. He has placed an offer as a team leader next to him. “I really didn’t like to end up in that chaos anymore. I have a very quiet life, I’m just a very happy person.”
Vantornout was once second in a World Cup twice, now he is looking forward to Sunday. And especially to Mathieu van der Poel. “If you have followed him a little, the last matches, you know he is in super cool. I think, without setbacks, without a bad day, that there will be very little to do about it.”
