Marianne Faithfull died on Thursday (January 30th). Fans now share the last concert shots. The British singer played her final concert on November 25, 2016 in the Paris concert hall Le Bataclan.

Marianne Faithfull was 78 years old. “Marianne died peacefully in London, in the presence of her loving family,” says the press release. The singer had achieved initial success in the 1960s, initially with the “As Tears Go by” (1964) written by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards and Rolling-Stones manager Andrew Loog Oldham when she was only 17 years old.
The Rolling Stones itself also recorded a version (1965), and Mick Jagger also wrote some hits inspired by his later relationship with Marianne Faithfull. In addition to her own songs and as an actress in films, Marianne Faithfull can also be heard on the Beatles song “Yellow Submarine” (1966). Her last album appeared in 2021. On “She Walks in Beauty” she combines Spoken-Word passages based on romantic poems of the 19th century with arrangements by Warren Ellis and Nick Cave.
