Lena Dürr actually conjured up a little bit at the slalom in Courchevel and grabbed a podium.

Slalom-Queen Mikaela Shiffrin had returned to the World Cup in time for the World Cup. After a long injury-related break, the American tested her competition form at the race in the French Culleavel.

However, it was not enough for a podium. Lena Dürr got it at the World Cup general rehearsal. She couldn’t shake at the victory of high -flyer Zrinka Ljutic, but she was able to celebrate third place behind Sara Hector. The Croatian had driven out 1.26 seconds ahead at the finish line.

Shiffrin tests, Lutic cheeky

In the first run, Shiffrin still had to struggle with small difficulties in returning to competition mode, but was still the fifth fastest for the final. The Croatian Zrinka Ljutic, who was able to celebrate her first World Cup victory, was more aggressive. The clock stopped at 51.88 seconds. Wendy Holdener (SUI) came up to 0.19 seconds to the best time of the 19-year-old. Austria’s Katharina Liensberger was already 0.68 seconds in third place. Shiffrin was only 19 hundredths of the podium.

Dürr has to conjure up a bit

Lena Dürr, on the other hand, stood a little perplexed after her run. The 33-year-old had started well, but then took over a second behind Luc. On the podium, the eighth was missing only 46 hundredths of seconds.

The driver of SV Germering left time due to a rough mistake in a hairpin curve, but otherwise brought her run clean. Because not only Shiffrin failed, Dürr advanced to the podium. Lutic did not miss the third victory of the season. How Dürr put Sweden’s Sara Hector forward by five places and secondly onto the podium.

Aicher stops

Jessica Hilzinger (31st), who drives to the Ski World Cup, narrowly missed the top 30 like Roni Remme (35th). Teammate Emma Aicher, who was on the road with a good speed and gave hope for a good run, threaded out after a transition and did not quite bring her run to the finish.

Shiffrin back after an accident

Shiffrin gets back into the ski circus three months after her capital crash at home race in Killington/USA, in which she got a serious abdominal injury. Therefore, she even had to be operated on.
