A day later, deputy mayor Evelien van der Star decided to close the rental home for four weeks. “The sense of safety in the vicinity of the house is seriously affected,” says a message from the municipality. “The possible risk of recurrence and the serious danger that is involved led to this administrative measure.”
“Police didn’t want to come”
In any case, the police have strong indications that very heavy fireworks have been used. According to local residents, that is also true. They indicated on Thursday morning that two Cobras were thrown.
A local resident also said that the man who lived in the rental home had called the police half an hour before the explosions. “But he didn’t want to come.”
