The Jacquemus SS22 fashion show, the first outside France

The inspiration, the ocean and its colors
The inspiration, the Jacquemus 2021 campaign taken by Tom Kneller right in O’ahu, the island of the archipelago in the Central Pacific, seat of the capital Honolulu, dominated by the breathtaking Ko’olau mountain range. But also the aquamarine portraits “in the pool” by David Hockney. The unpredictability of the climate undermined the show which, as the designer made it known on his Instagram profile in the Stories, was hit by a unexpected downpour.

But then the sun came out, and thanks to the help of the locals, involved in the front line in the realization of the show, the models and modelsmostly chosen from the local population, they paraded on the beachin front of a select audience of guests, mainly from Asia: like the singer Jennie of the popular Korean group of Blackpinkdressed in pink – straight from the front row of the Chanel Fall Winter 2022/2023 fashion show in Paris.
Garments and accessories: a dip in the blue
On the pleasant walkway overlooking the atolls, one parade of looks in bright colors, starting with the blue ocean. To walk towards a better future – or simply escape from reality that surrounds us, at least with the wardrobe.
