Allegations against Neil Gaiman first came up in 2024

In July 2024, allegations against the British were loud for the first time. At that time, “Tortoise Media” opened in the form of a podcast series that five women accused Gaiman of sexual abuse. However, Gaiman vehemently denied the allegations and explained on his homepage in an entry in his journal entitled “Breaking the Silence” that he was only involved in mutual encounters.

At the time, Gaiman wrote on his side: “I read the news that I exchanged with the women around and after the incidents that were later reported as abusive. These messages now work as they did when I received them – from two people who enjoyed and wanted to see fully consensual sexual relationships. When I was in these relationships, they seemed positive and happy on both sides. ”

Dark Horse drops Gaiman, others wait

Dark Horse Comics now took this as an opportunity to separate from the writer. Disney is also currently pausing the production of the film adaptation of Gaiman’s novel “The Graveyard Book”.

Nevertheless, Gaiman remains in business. Among other things, Amazon is currently producing a TV adaptation to “Anansi Boys”. Whoopi Goldberg should belong to the cast.
