ProSieben throws the “Simpsons” from the evening program! For the first time since 2001 (!), New episodes of the cartoon classic no longer run at 8:15 p.m. or later.
Finally, the first round of the 35th season was shown after 10 p.m. Reason: weak ratings. The second part of the season is now shown after a repetition of the first new episodes, as the other permanent rotation of the yellow at 6.10 p.m. The start for the first broadcast is on March 10th.
The new episodes of the “Simpsons” in the advertising-relevant target group of 14-49-year-olds no longer achieved two-digit market shares. That was completely different a few years ago. In the meantime there is of course Disney+streaming competition, where all seasons of the series can be seen at any time. But the latest episodes do not appear there early.
ProSieben shows previously unknown Halloween episodes of the “Simpsons”
After all, there is a kind of reparation for the Prime Time Ablush for the somewhat older fans of Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa, Maggie and all the other inhabitants of Springfield.
On March 9 (Sunday), from 11:35 p.m., three “X-Rated sequences” of the “Simpsons” that have not previously been shown will be shown for the first time. As in the case of the FSK 16 ratings, Halloween episodes are, as before. Also included are the episodes “The Homer Mutation”, “Simpsonsworld” and “The Exorzism of Maggie Simpson”.
The “Simpsons” have been running at ProSieben since 1994. The first episodes of the permanent favorite still radiated the ZDF in 1991. With 36 seasons and 781 episodes, it is the longest-running US mark and prime series.
