Musician Archie Cruz, real name Arttu Kuosmanenhas been charged with drunk driving, reports Ilta-Sanomat.
According to IS, the matter has started in the Kymenlaakso district court on December 9. The suspected crime took place on October 6 in Kotka.
Iltalehti could not reach Cruz, 32, to comment on the matter. Cruz tells Ilta-Sanom that he sought help for his alcoholism about a week after the events.
Cruz said in December that he applied for Minnesota treatment, which is an intensive treatment method for treating alcoholism.
– I went through the Minnesota treatment there. I came from there two weeks ago. The reason I went is because I’m going to be a father. I don’t want there to be any risk that my drinking will affect my child’s life or my ability to be a father, Cruz said in December Men’s turn to speakon the podcast.
Cruz and his partner Iida Vainio had their first child in December. The arrival of the baby made Cruz realize his problem.
