Lots of tears and lots of love. It is a cocktail of emotions for Anna in the days after the birth of her son Fabian. She is the surrogate mother of Marvin and Luc’s child. Before giving birth she had gone especially to the men’s house, but after five days it is time to go. She tells her emotional story in the new episodes of the podcast ‘with the best of intentions’.
The Brabant couple Anna and Janneke is friends with Marvin and Luc. They too are a couple and do not live far from the ladies. After years they all turned out to have a desire to have children. After a while the ladies came up with the idea of getting pregnant with the men together. They would keep one child themselves, they wear the other child for the men.
It is September 2024. Anna, who wears Marvin’s child and Luc, goes to the men’s house especially for the birth. They all decide to live in one house for a while. Janneke, Anna’s wife, is also there with their daughter. She was born a few weeks earlier. It is a special time, says Anna in the podcast. For example, there was a particularly intimate moment in the second night. While the whole house is sleeping, she whispers her newborn son in her arms that she is very grateful that he was allowed to grow under her heart for nine months. That her door is always open to him and that the dads will soon take care of him and love him a lot. The tears roll down her cheeks.

Waiting for privacy settings …
After five intense and beautiful days, the moment is there. Anna and Janneke go home with their daughter. Without Fabian. Anna: “Then we sat down in the car and the dads sat down with the baby behind the window. I could only cry. Cry, cry, cry.” The farewell is hard for her, but that is part of it. “I have absolutely no regrets. Everything can be there. It is a healthy and normal reaction.” The men are also full of admiration. Luc, the biological father of Fabian: “Real chapeau for Anna how she did this.”
The couples have made good agreements for the future. They are planning to keep close contact with each other and to take the children clearly in the whole story. Marvin: “It is very important for a child to know where it comes from.”
