The accident occurred at the end of the race when the man leaned out too far and fell into the ditch between the lawn and the stands
Drama at the Silvio Piola stadium in Novara. At the end of the Serie C match between the hosts and Pro Patria, a visiting fan from Busto Arsizio fell from a height of about three meters in an attempt to greet the players who had approached the fans. He is now in code red at the Maggiore Hospital in Novara. The situation would be highly compromised: the man, 42 years old, has several facial traumas as well as two large skull traumas and is currently in a pharmacological coma.

The first aid took place immediately after the accident, with the arrival of an ambulance present in the stadium and the medical team. The man’s condition immediately appeared serious and he was taken to intensive care at the hospital after an initial attempt at resuscitation at the stadium. It seems that the fan was sitting astride the railing and fell head first into the ditch. At the end of the match, the Busto Arsizio team was still protesting, still defeated. In those excited moments the man would have leaned too far, falling into the void. Both clubs have decided not to give interviews after the match.
