FC Liverpool has taken the next step towards the English championship. The Reds won 4: 1 (3-0) against relegation candidate Ipswich Town and remain clear leaders in the Premier League. The team of coach Arne Slot is a six -point lead over FC Arsenal after the 16th win of the season. The Gunners won a little happily with 1-0 (0: 0) at the Wolverhampton Wanderers. Liverpool has one less game in the account and can further expand the lead.
The early Leipzig Dominik Szoboszlai (11th minute) put the hosts in the lead. Premier-League-Top-Torjäger Mohamed Salah with his 19th goal of the season (35th) and the Dutch Cody Gakpo (44th) increased to 3: 0 before the break. Again Gakpo (66th) made the fourth goal.
