Since the delivery of a flat on the Irenelaan in Cuijk, everything has been short of the rental apartments. There are cracks in the walls, the windows are difficult to close and there are all kinds of leaks. The heat pumps do not work well, so residents are on and off in the cold. According to the lessor, the heat pumps are always repaired because the costs for new pumps are too high. For residents, the size is now really full. “Always something wrong.”
Resident Vincent van Hoof can list a number of points in his apartment, where he has been living for four years now that are not right.
“There are cracks in the walls, on the ceiling you see water damage of the leaking underfloor heating at the neighbors. You can only close the window if you lean against it with your full weight. There is always something wrong,” he says.
Three weeks after the completion of the flat, Vincent came to live in his apartment. According to him, the problems have been playing as long as he lives there, including with the heat pumps.
“Heat pumps have exploded.”
“It’s a big drama with these heat pumps. My pump has been broken for eight months, so I don’t have underfloor heating. For some people it has been broken for years. The water is leaking out, wrong screws have been placed and even pumps have been exploded . “
The German Rüdiger Meyer is also disappointed. His son Marian has been renting an apartment in the flat since December and wanted to move in in January, but when laying the new floor they discovered that the concrete was soaking wet.
“We saw a large dark spot. It turned out to be water damage,” he says. “There is gravel on the ground that was first concrete, but that was affected by the water damage.”

After the discovery, the family immediately contacted the landlord. “They sent a plumber to replace a leaking valve and there has been a dryer for two weeks to dry the floor. My son has been sleeping at work for a month because he is not yet in his apartment.”
Landlord NMG says in a written response that he recognizes the complaints and that he works on the problems as efficiently as possible.
“Problems cannot be solved immediately.”
“Although we are fully committed, some challenges cannot be resolved immediately. This is not due to a lack of commitment or dedication, but is related to external factors that lie outside our sphere of influence,” NMG writes.
According to the company, the heat pumps are said to have been placed in a rainy situation, so that there is water in the pipes. Since the water pumps still fall within the warranty period, the owner of the flat does not want them to be replaced because the costs of new pumps are very high.

According to resident Vincent, it rains complaints in the flat. In the group app, various residents complain about the state of the relatively new apartments. “The final inspections are a joke, just like my delivery,” writes a resident.
“Always our problem.”
“Calling every day makes no sense, because they don’t do anything,” says another resident. “It’s always our problem,” says Vincent.
For residents the size is full and they hope something will change. NMG Landlord says he continues to look for suitable solutions. They want to see afterwards if they can compensate the German Marian because he could not sleep in his apartment for the first few months.
