Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, known from the reality series The Hills, have taken legal action because of the wildfires in Los Angeles.

A reality TV couple Spencer Pratt41, and Heidi Montag38, have sued the city of Los Angeles for losing their home. Mirror-news site, the couple has also sued LADWP, or the Los Angeles Water and Power Department.
Pratt and Montag lost more than 2.6 million euros in their home in the Los Angeles wildfires. In the lawsuit, the couple accuses LADWP of failing to maintain an adequate water supply system to fight the fires. According to the couple, the wildfires were an “inevitable consequence” of the failure of the water supply.
In addition, the couple blames the utility for the delay in repairing the Santa Ynez water tank. The lawsuit alleges the delay has caused Palisades’ massive water storage complex to sit empty for nearly a year.

The couple is part of a lawsuit accusing LADWP of draining the Santa Ynez reservoir before the wildfires. The lawsuit includes 20 other homeowners, like Pratt Janet-mother.
The lawsuit also refers to a reversed judgment, based on which property owners “can claim compensation for damages caused by public use.
Governor of California Gavin Newsom has ordered that authorities begin an investigation into the water tanks that Los Angeles firefighters had access to.
Montag recently posted a video about losing his house in the Stories section of Instagram. He said that at the time of the evacuation it was difficult to make decisions about what was needed – and what was not.
– I only have two pairs of jeans and two shirts. I have a lot more clothes for the kids, but why didn’t I grab more? He pondered.
Pratt and Montag became famous The Hills from the reality series. The couple has been married since 2008 and has two children.
On Wednesday, it was reported that a new large wildfire has started north of Los Angeles. Thousands of people have been told to leave their homes and take shelter as the fire department tries to bring the fire under control.
The cause of the wildfire is unknown. Earlier in January, at least 24 people died in wildfires in Southern California. Thousands of buildings were destroyed in fires.
