Lord Huron have won Kristen Stewart for their song “Who Laughs Last”.

Kristen Stewart has long since freed herself from the “Twilight” image in Hollywood with roles in films like “Love Lies Bleeding” and “The Runaways”. Now she is showing another creative side of herself. Stewart made her recording debut for the indie folk band Lord Huron – in the form of a spoken word contribution to the new song “Who Laughs Last?”. This is the band’s first new song in two years.

Kristen Stewart has sung in films before – for example an acoustic cover for “Into The Wild”. But it took one of her favorite bands to get her into the recording studio. “Lord Huron” singer Ben Schneider explained that he had Stewart’s voice in mind while writing the song: “I just thought, ‘What the heck, I’ll ask.'” To his surprise, the actress was immediately interested. “We hit it off immediately when we talked about books, films and music. She had great ideas and immediately understood the core of the song,” says Schneider.

Kristen Stewart was also excited about working with Lord Huron: “I love it when a song is something you can immerse yourself in. The manic urges and mood of ‘Who Laughs Last?’ grabbed me immediately. It was a stroke of luck to make new friends through this project.”

The Tony Wilson-directed video for “Who Laughs Last?” is already available and presents the song in an atmospheric, cinematic production. The band also announced their European tour for 2025, where fans in Berlin, Vienna, Zurich and Cologne will have the opportunity to experience Lord Huron live.
