In spring, “Becoming Led Zeppelin” gives a fresh look at the history of the origin of one of the largest hard rock bands on the planet.
A first teaser shows guitarist Jimmy Page, singer Robert Plant and bass player John Paul Jones how they remember to have made music together for the first time.
“I said that I want to play the first number ‘The Train Kept a-Rollin’ ‘,” explains Page in the clip. “We just continued to play, do little solo breaks and many things like that, and Robert then improvised.”
What a singer
John Paul Jones then raves that he had never heard a singer like Robert Plant. “I expected such a cool soul singer. And then there is this screaming insane with this fantastic voice and an incredible voice. I just thought: ‘What are you doing up there? You will still hurt. ‘”
Robert Plant also has only words of surprise. He says about himself in the section of the documentary: “It was shocking because it really seemed as if that was what I had always been waiting for.” There was a few excerpts by John Bonham, who died in September 1980 also to see. “I was pretty shy,” adds the drummer to protocol, which many think for one of the best in the history of rock music. “And the best thing you can do when you are in such a situation is not too much to say and tirelessly continue to feel on your tooth.”
