– This was Ville’s own solution, chairman of the board of Liiga-SaiPa oy Jussi Turunen says Iltalehte.

SaiPa announced on Thursday that the one mentioned by Turunen is not Ville Rämä continue on the board of Liiga-SaiPa oy.

SaiPa was sold in March 2024 to Lätkä Lentää oy. Rämä has been one of the background people from the beginning. Rämä was supposed to capitalize SaiPa with a total of 700,000 euros, but IL said on Tuesday that despite the agreement, he left the investment of 561,000 euros unmade.

SaiPa confirmed on Thursday that Rämä’s further investment agreement was not completed by the deadline, i.e. by December 31.

Is Rämä’s departure due to the fact that the further investment commitment was not fulfilled by the deadline?

– I don’t know the backgrounds any more. He wanted to leave Liiga-SaiPa’s board this term, says Turunen.

Turunen heard about Rämä’s decision during Thursday. The club has discussed the failure of the further placement, but the chairman does not reveal the reasons for the setback.

– We have basically established the situation. There haven’t been any bigger discussions than that.

– I can’t judge [miksi ei toteutunut]. We stated that the investment has not been realized by the deadline.

The important news for SaiPa is that the missed half a million euros does not endanger the club’s finances.

– At the moment, the matter has no immediate effect on Liiga-SaiPa’s finances. The capital is at a satisfactory level.

SaiPa is not currently in discussions about obtaining additional funding. The club’s equity is well over a million euros plus.

Rämä continues in Lätkä Lentää oy with his original stake.

In the arrangement, the current shareholders provided a loan of approximately 1.2 million euros as bridge financing. Rämä’s share was 139,000 euros.

The loans were converted into an investment in Lätkä Lentää oy’s equity. The lenders again received a share of the limited company in accordance with the amount of money. In this arrangement, Rämä’s commitment was supposed to be 561,000 euros, which was not received.
