MHK President Ferhat Gündoğdu made a flash statement after the decision about the referees.
Gündoğdu used the following statements in his statement:
It has not been 48 hours since the decision was announced. There was a lot of talk, but this decision should not be evaluated with the words operation or cleaning, there is no such thing. The 1st stage of a project that is being studied for the future of Turkish refereeing.
The classification has been determined. It was done every year. Classifications are determined in July or August, and then at halftime. There is a situation that we are not used to. During Serdar Tatlı’s term, this decision was extended to 4 terms.
I am extremely uncomfortable with the association of all my on-duty and non-officer friends with organizations. It has nothing to do with them.
It has years of wear. Some of our friends began to act above the institution. We have determined that the arbitration system is adversely affected by this. Any referee who is not free in his behavior cannot make the right decision.”
